McDonald’s Style Breakfast Bagel

A homemade version of the classic McDonald’s Breakfast Bagel with steak, eggs, cheese, and a creamy sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 large bagels
  • 200g ribeye or sirloin steak
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 slices American cheese
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon steak sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Hot sauce, to taste
  • Butter, for toasting

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce: In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, yellow mustard, lemon juice, steak sauce, and dried dill.
  2. Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, and hot sauce if desired.
  3. Cook the steak on high heat for 2-3 minutes per side until desired doneness.
  4. Beat the eggs lightly and cook them over medium heat, optionally adding cream or milk for fluffiness.
  5. Toast the bagels with butter until golden brown.
  6. Assemble the bagel: Spread the sauce, layer with steak, eggs, and cheese, and close the bagel.

Notes

For a twist, try using different cheeses or meats. Serve with classic sides like hash browns or fresh fruit.
