- 1 package chocolate cake mix plus oil, eggs, and water as directed
- 340 g cream cheese, softened
- 120 ml butter, softened
- 180 ml creamy peanut butter
- 5 ml vanilla extract
- 480 ml powdered sugar
- 120 ml chocolate chips
- 360 ml mini Reese’s peanut butter cups, unwrapped and halved
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
- Grease a 23×33 cm (9×13 inch) baking pan and lightly dust it with flour or cocoa powder.
- Prepare the chocolate cake batter according to package instructions, using the correct amount of oil, eggs, and water.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, butter, and peanut butter until creamy.
- Add vanilla extract and mix well.
- Gradually add powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Spoon the peanut butter filling onto the chocolate batter.
- Swirl with a knife or skewer to create a marbled effect.
- Top evenly with halved Reese’s and chocolate chips.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, checking doneness with a toothpick.
- Allow to cool in the pan before serving.
Notes
Serve warm or cold. A scoop of vanilla ice cream pairs wonderfully with it.
